Cinema Paradiso - Hollywood Opens This Saturday in Downtown Hollywood


–An art house theater at 2008 Hollywood Boulevard, opens its doors this Saturday, October 19 with the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival.

The 3,000-square-foot, 82-seat digital cinema includes a bar that by the end of the year will serve beer, wine and cocktails, and a concession stand featuring typical movie theater fare that will not compete with downtown eateries.

Hollywood Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA)  will assist the cinema through the annual purchase of 3,000 movie tickets  to be distributed to beach visitors for promotional purposes.

Cinema Paradiso - Hollywood will offer screenings of art, foreign and American independent films, documentaries and retro movies, as well as special events via satellite. Screenings of three to four different films per day will be offered from late morning to well into the night.

The Broadwalk in Hollywood is on the list of Great Public Spaces.

The Broadwalk in Hollywood has made the 2013 top 10 list of Great Public Spaces.
The American Planning Association's flagship program celebrates places of exemplary character, quality, and planning.
